The notice from the Sardinia Region finally arrived, crediting the municipality of La Maddalena with the amount needed to enter into agreements with shipping companies. From before Easter until May 31 and from October 1 until December 31, 2024, ferry prices will be discounted by 40 percent for Sardinia residents and homeowners.
The intention of the Region of Sardinia is to support tourism, in the so-called “shoulder months” of the year. Those periods, prior to or before the peak season that, generally see a decline in tourists.

Concessions for residents of Sardinia will be substantial. To get the 40 percent discount on the ferry fare, residents of Saredegna need only declare their residence by showing an ID.
Regarding bookings through the Ferryfinder website, the amount of discount on the ferry price will be calculated automatically when the ticket is purchased. It will then be necessary to show identification at the time of boarding.
